Coach: Janean Jubic

Second year Pine Creek High School head coach Janean Jubic came to PCHS with 6 years collegiate coaching experience at the Division I & II Levels. She coached at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado State University Pueblo, & Colorado Christian University. During her time coaching the teams had three NCAA Tournament appearances, 12 Honor Roll players, 2 All-Academic players, 12 All- Conference Players including five conference Players of the Year, and one National Championship.

In addition to her coaching experience, Coach Jubic played 4 years collegiate basketball at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) and was RMAC Honor Roll- 2007-2010. She also is 5th in assists in school history. She also played one year of collegiate softball at UCCS and one year of collegiate golf at Colorado Christian University (CCU). She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business-Finance with minors in International Business and Leadership Studies from UCCS and a Masters in Business Administration-Corporate Training from CCU.

Coach Jubic is extremely close to her family, which includes her parents, Lorraine and John Jubic, both of Pueblo West, and her brother, Sean. She has a yellow lab named Boston that she spends time with on a regular basis. Some hobbies include fishing, camping, hunting, and playing golf.

 

Assistant Coach: Robert Lopez

In his second year at Pine Creek High School, Coach Robert Lopez brings lots of coaching experience. He has coached multiple sports including softball, wrestling, basketball, soccer and track in his previous middle school.  He also coached 2 years of Varsity soccer at Harrison High School. 

Robert graduated from Bethany College, where he played soccer, with a Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education PreK-12. Currently, Coach RoLo teaches HealthAnd Physical Education at Pine Creek.   He has been married to his college sweetheart, Courtney Lopez for 4 years.  They have a beautiful daughter, Khloe, who just turned 3!

He says, “Sports have been a passion of mine my entire life, which is a big reason why I choose to coach.”
