About This Event

This activity is one of several fundraisers for After Prom 23, an event coordinated by Pine Creek’s Parent-Teacher Partnership. In December Seniors were invited to submit parking spot designs for approval. After designs had been given the green light by the Pine Creek Administrative Team, Seniors paid a $25 fee, were assigned a parking spot for the rest of the school year, and were able to begin purchasing the paint and other supplies they would need in order to customize it.

Student Designs

Designs were as unique as each individual student. “I like frogs!” said Eve Maramba. “So there are a lot of frogs, flowers, and emojis.” Tessa Rademacher opted for a phoenix, symbolizing the cycle of life. “A phoenix is forever ending and restarting,” Tessa said. “As I finish high school I figure I’m going through one of the lives of the phoenix and will transform as I move into a new part of my life.” Other spots featured depictions of mountains, hobbies, flowers, outer space, watercraft, animals, sports, artistic doodles, and childhood favorites. “He’s always liked cars!” one parent commented while standing in front of a spot painted with the red and white checkered flag of a racetrack. Fans of Phineas and Ferb will appreciate the appearance of Perry the Platypus while those who’ve watched Finding Nemo are sure to remember the relevant audio clip(s) upon spotting everyone’s favorite seagull.
