The fact that this was the first class to get an event like this since the Class of 2019 was not lost on us. “It was just so GREAT!” said College and Career counselor Stephanie Cornelio. “I love celebrating our kids!”

At the Senior Capping Ceremony, Pine Creek graduates had the opportunity to publicly recognize someone who has had a strong, positive influence in their lives. The Class of 2022 recognized parents, grandparents, siblings, teachers, best friends, bosses, and coaches with dedications that included sentiments such as —

  • “I have never had a bigger fan.”

  • “You made moving easier by making your classroom a home.”

  • “You saw something in me and never stopped pushing me to pursue my passion.”

  • “Thanks for being my personal photographer and always hooking the homies up with pictures for Instagram.”

  • “You taught me to reach for Mars when I was aiming for the moon.”
    —and —

  • “I love you.”

Here’s to being present in the coming months and seizing opportunities to meaningfully express gratitude in both large ways and small.

Go, Eagles!
