About Career Academies
The career academy concept has these key elements:
A small learning community (SLC)
A college-prep sequential curriculum with a career theme (CTE)
An advisory board that forges partnerships with employers, higher education institutions, and the broader community
A sequenced, comprehensive work-based learning embedded component
College credit/industry certification opportunities
A 12th grade culminating project (internship, capstone project, defense of learning, etc.)

Pine Creek High School will be offering Career Academies in Computer Science and Graphic Art. Academies are open in 2025 for 9th grade students.
