About This Competition

Thirty-six top-scoring bands from regionals were invited to perform at the State Concert Band Festival, and Pine Creek's Wind Ensemble was one of them!

Underscoring the value of building community both within each individual school's band as well as with bands from schools across the state, as a part of the State Concert Band Festival, groups are assigned listening blocks to ensure they have the opportunity to learn from and support other bands.

In addition to experiencing the music of their peers, students also had the opportunity to perform. This year's performance demonstrated a level of mastery and excellence that earned a Superior with Distinction, a perfect score!

Thriving as a part of a learning community, our students always seek the opportunity to improve. As such, they received their perfect score from the performance and immediately accepted the opportunity for feedback, attending a 25 minute off-stage clinic, with seasoned conductor, Dr. Steve Peterson. Students were also excited to receive recorded audio commentary and written evaluations created by renowned judges and clinicians during their performance to be reviewed at a later time.
