Expressing Gratitude for Academic Support

This year Pine Creek Cheer wanted to thank teachers who supported them as student-athletes before heading to the National Cheer Competition. "The Cheer team had an average GPA last semester of 3.8!" exclaimed Coach Johnson. "We could not have done that without our amazing teachers!"

Each cheerleader invited the teacher who has meant the most to them to wear their very sparkly jersey to school on Thursday to match them. The Nationals team performed their Game Day competition routine at the Varsity Boys Basketball Game Thursday evening, so teachers were invited to join them at the game as well to see their performance.

"Thank you so much to all Pine Creek teachers and staff for your unending encouragement and support!" Coach Johnson said.

About the Road to Nationals

Our team earned their bid to Nationals at the Mile High Regional competition this past October.  This will be the team's second year to compete at Nationals with Coach Johnson and will be the first year they will compete using two different routines. 11 athletes will compete in the SDI All Girl routine and 18 will compete MD1 Game Day routine.

The team has been preparing for competition with morning and afternoon practices since they earned a bid to Nationals in October.

Go, Eagles!
