Our National Merit Semifinalists represent some of those who have earned the highest score on the PSAT/NMSQT and who are eligible to continue in the competition to receive National Merit Scholarships. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.

How to Enter the Competition

To participate in the National Merit Program, students must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of their high school program. Learn more.
