The Journey to the Next Level

Victoria Guinard

Victoria Guinard was one of the first female wrestlers in District 20 to place at State. As a Sophomore she placed 6th and last year as a Junior placed 2nd. We look forward to seeing what Victoria, who is known for her physical strength and deep knowledge of the sport, will accomplish this wrestling season prior to graduation in May. “Women’s wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in the country right now,” said Pine Creek Wrestling Coach Billy Gabel. “And Victoria is leading the pack!”

Brynae Stewart

For Brynae Stewart playing at the Next Level is an opportunity she has been working toward since she started playing basketball at the age of five. “All the hard work and energy that she has put into this is absolutely exceptional,” said Pine Creek basketball coach Janean Jubic.  “Brynae has grown into a powerful, passionate, woman that speaks up for what she wants and goes after the things that she has dreams and aspirations to do! I know CSU Pueblo is getting a good one and that she’s going to get a good education. We’re super proud of you!”

Monica Yoder

Monica Yoder started playing soccer when she was 12 and by the time she was 14 had qualified to play in one of the top ten teams for her age group in Colorado Springs. In addition to putting energy into improving her skill and technique on the field, she also puts energy into being a good teammate. Pine Creek Girls Soccer Coach John Frederick commented that she keeps the team moving forward and works through problems with a positive attitude. “I’m looking forward to what she will do as a leader. She believes in doing things the right way, in having character, and in how that (character) matters on the field and affects the legacy that she’s going to leave behind.”
