Please know that it is considered rude to enter a faculty member's email address into your college application or to request a letter of recommendation digitally via Naviance before you have spoken to the faculty member in person.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>\u003Cp>Faculty members spend time thoughtfully writing the letters of recommendation they have been asked to write. If you want them to put time into writing a letter to the potential college of your choosing that helps you shine, then please take the time to speak to them in person \u003Cstrong>before\u003C\u002Fstrong> contacting them digitally. \u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fli>\u003C\u002Ful>\u003Ch2>Other Considerations\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Col>\u003Cli>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>You must request your letter of recommendation in person:\u003C\u002Fstrong>  Ask your teacher\u002Fcounselor, in person, at least 2-3 weeks prior to needing the letter.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Be professional in your request: \u003C\u002Fstrong>Make sure that you give your teacher\u002Fcounselor a cover letter specifying the colleges you are applying to and how they should submit the letter once they've written it. Every college is different- some will require a letter and others will require a special form.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Include an Activities Resume and Recommendation Profile Form: \u003C\u002Fstrong>Use the resume builder on Naviance to create your activities resume.
